  • Dematting fees: If a pet comes in and they are matted to a degree that it is just too unfair to the pet to be combed out, and they need to be shaved, or if it takes over a half of an hour to get them combed out and ready for the bath there will be a dematting fee of $10.00 each half hour spent over the normal time it takes to pre cut or pre comb your pet.

Note* It is important to understand that an animal needs to be completely combed out (not brushed out) before they can get wet.

Why you ask? If they are not combed out of all matts ,snarrels, and tangles and they get wet the matts grow and becomes tighter and tighter against the skin. A matt that's wet cannot get dry and cannot be combed out. A pet that is matted will not necessarily need to be shaved to the skin. In most cases at least 1/2 an inch of hair is left.
